The University of Nottingham is a public research university in Nottingham, United Kingdom. It was founded as University College Nottingham in 1881 and was granted a royal charter in 1948. The University of Nottingham belongs to the elite research-intensive Russell Group association.
In Autumn 2016, the brand new £40 million David Ross Sports Village was opened, offering state of the art sports provision for all.
In September 2020 The University of Nottingham was names the best university in the UK for sports, according to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021. It is the second time in three years that Nottingham has been crowned the top sports university in the prestigious national awards. In December 2020 The University also won the Excellence in Student Sport award at the College and University Business Officers (CUBO) awards. The University of Nottingham has also won four national British Universities & Colleges Sport awards in 2020, after being shortlisted for seven awards back in November 2020.

Overview
The team at the University of Nottingham faced a challenging task of being able to facilitate the safe and effective delivery of the high performance programmes at the University. As well as being able to continue to safely provide their members with the comprehensive offering of the David Ross Sports Centre.
To do this, 12 more lifting stations were required for the High Performance Zone within a short timeframe. After consultation meeting with Tom Sherratt, Fitness Manager and Tim Lawrenson, Head of Strength and Conditioning and comprehensive pre installation visits, Perform Better were selected as the provider for Power Racks, Mounted Platforms and Benches for the project.
Timeline:
Perform Better were able to manufacture and install all equipment within five weeks of being provided order confirmation. The installation was overseen by Perform Better’s Installation and Serving Manager and carried out in just one day to minimise disruption to the staff at the David Ross site. All whilst following the companies Covid secure protocols.
