SmartCoach Lite has been developed as a solution for users interested exclusively in training with isoinertial devices- the KBox flywheel and VersaPulley™. It measures only 9 x 5 cm and weights 100 grams, is powered through the USB cable. It also does not have any mechanical parts just an input for the sensor mounted on the isoinertial devices.
The SmartCoach Lite provides real-time feedback on power. These gravity-independent devices have a variable resistance – the more the subject pulls, the faster they spin. Without a feedback system like SmartCoach™, it is very difficult to measure the power developed and assess performance in an objective manner.
Eccentric training with controlled overload: another feature is the ease of attaining eccentric overload by controlling the execution technique. (i.e. by modulating the braking delay in the eccentric phase)
Rehabilitation: the variable-resistance characteristic makes these devices perfectly?? suited for rehabilitation.
