As a leading European football team, Arsenal have invested millions of pounds in creating an elite training facility for the senior, academy and ladies teams.
After a competitive tender process Arsenal selected Perform Better as the project managers to design and install the training facility.
Overview
With very specific requirements for equipment and design, Perform Better were chosen as the sole supplier and project management for the gym installation. The team were able to offer a wide range of equipment to meet the exacting needs of the club. The flexible approach taken by PB allowed changes to be made quickly and easily.
The flooring was key to the whole project. Perform Better designed a single level floor that combines four different materials to offer a variety of training and proprioception qualities. Duratrain weight layer flooring was lay over the majority of the area with embedded platforms in lifting areas. In addition, four sprint lanes, a rebound track and a turfed shock pad area were installed. A sandpit was incorporated for greater lower body training and rehabilitation.
