Manchester United Women’s team were founded in 2018 and started life in the FA Women’s Championship with Casey Stoney as Manager. They won the Championship in their inaugural season and were promoted to the Women’s Super League – in their first season they were awarded fourth position on points per game basis due to the Pandemic.
Overview
There have been discussions about the team moving to the Cliff Training facility which is the old Men’s facility until they moved to Carrington. The team currently train and play their games at Leigh Sports Village, they have been using an area under one of the stands as a temporary training facility.
Due to the success of the team the Club made the decision that the Women’s team needed a professional Strength and Conditioning facility.
Following successful installations by Perform Better for the men’s and academy teams Team PB were selected to install the dedicated strength and conditioning area.
The Club allocated the same stadium space they had been previously using, the area had Performance Flooring laid throughout and five half racks were installed along with new Olympic bars, discs, dumbbells, benches, glute ham bench and a range of functional training equipment.
