University Academy 92 Manchester (UA92) is a Higher Education provider in Manchester which first opened it’s doors in September 2019 created by Manchester United’s famous class of ’92 players supported by Lancaster University and a number of partners.
When the University first opened a multi-purpose Hub was set up as part of the campus facilities to provide a teaching and learning facility for the Sport and Exercise degrees. Perform Better were selected to equip the facility which included two Elite Racks, Performance Flooring plus a range of Sport Science equipment.
Two years on- after encouraging student numbers on the Sports degrees and new contracts that were secured with Professional Sports teams in the Manchester area- the University made the decision to convert the basement of the building into a new facility which includes a large High Performance Hub, a Commercial Fitness zone, a movement studio and changing rooms.
We are immensely proud that Perform Better were again selected to design and equip the two new facilities which was a combined space of over 500sqm- our design team worked closely with the UA92 Sports academics to ensure that the space was fully maximised as both a teaching and training facility for both able bodied and disabled athletes and students.
A number of bespoke equipment designs were included in the facility such as two Performance Medicine Ball Walls, Isometric pull testing systems and Ancore Trainers built into the Elite Power Racks, Kistler Force Plate Housings in the Mondo Sprint Track. See a comprehensive list below:
